This blog brings up a great point – the people loved Jesus. He drew thousands to Him because of His message, because of the love He showed and because He did not spew out judgement against “sinners.” He did, however have some very harsh words for the self-righteous, those religious leaders lacking in mercy or humility. Christians should not be using Biblical terms such as “in the world, but not of it” and “we will be hated by the world” without properly understanding what they mean. And they certainly do not mean offending people and acting like jerks….how can you “love and keep peace with all people” if you do that? It is not Jesus’ fault if you are a jerk.

I have seen some Christians act like jerks and try to “force feed” unbelievers. Then when the unbeliever turns his back in disgust and hate, that Christian feels like he has done a good thing and boasts about it. That is not how it works. Thanks for sharing this article.
